As part of the Erasmus+ project, which brings together Belgium, Hungary, Romania, and North Macedonia, the first project meeting took place in Budapest on November 6 and 7. The project, focused on enhancing school environments in Eastern Europe, aims to unite partners in sharing knowledge and expertise. As Octopusplan, we play an advisory role, offering specific expertise in the implementation of school streets and traffic safety measures.

The first meeting in Budapest

During the meeting in Budapest, the partners met in person for the first time. The gathering was marked by an open atmosphere, great enthusiasm, and a shared determination to make the project a success. In addition to introductions, the meeting focused on establishing clear agreements regarding the project’s objectives and planning.

Visits to School Environments

To provide a practical introduction to the project, two school environments in Budapest were visited. These visits were inspiring and offered a valuable foundation for the constructive exchange of insights and experiences.

Planning 2025

The start of the Erasmus+ project demonstrates how international collaboration can contribute to safer and more sustainable school environments. The shared knowledge and experiences among the participating countries provide a strong foundation for the next phases of the project. We look forward to the upcoming steps and continued cooperation with our partners. This initiative will run until the end of October 2026, allowing ample time for valuable exchanges and tangible results.

The next study visit is scheduled for the end of March 2025 in Belgium, where the partners will become familiar with the Belgian situation.
